Fine art figure photography
Camouflage Frog
The above photo has nothing to do with this post. I just think this blog needed a image on it rather than just text.
Recently I’ve come across a couple of unique sites displaying fine art figure photography. Shooting nudes is something I’ve always wanted to do but had the opportunity. Now it seems cliche that a middle-aged middle-class white guy would dream of being a fine art figure photographer. There are quite a few guys shooting nudes and a couple are actually original.
Leonard Nimoy of “Star Trek” fame has a series of photos called the“Full Body Project”. Leonard has quite a number of photo series and is quite accomplished. I’m sure being Leonard Nimoy helps.
Chan Chao, who first became know for his series Burma: Something Went Wrong, more recently finished a series of nudes, actually portraits of naked women. There is something quite beautiful about these portraits. The subjects are posed in such a way as to elevate the ordinary to the dignified.
Do you have some favorite fine art figure photographers? Let me know.
