This is my first attempt at a panorama on Linux. It is made of 6 original images and the final size was 10233×1344 and a whooping 81meg. I couldn’t have done this without the great tutorial found at http://exolucere.ca These are the highly developed tools I used:

  • Ubuntu - current distro 6.06
  • Autopano-sift - for orienting images
  • Hugin - to do the actual panorama converging
  • Enblend - blend the whole thing up in the end
  • GIMP - usual post processing (crop, curves and unsharpen)

Enjoy!

i got ripped off by the folks of kolor

i purchased the registration code for the full version of Autopano Pro and paid 130 bucks, but the code i got doesnt work.
i emailed alexandre jenny to ask for a valid code, but all he said is that they were not able to find any record of my payment. I kept asking for a valid code, but they stopped replying to my emails.

Can u believe it? i shelled out 130 bucks and i have nothing in exchange for my money

attention everybody: autopano pro is a ripoff

Fantastic guide, thank you! I had no trouble following the Exolucere guide while I was running Dapper Drake, but as soon as I updated to Edgy Eft it didn’t work any more. The Enblend project itself is no help at all, and they have a newer version which seems to have different dependencies (making things even trickier). I have very little experience with compiling my own stuff and the number of dependencies of Enblend left me completely stumped. Unfortunately, there is no alternative in Linux for making high-quality panoramas.

Your guide quite honestly saved the day for me. Thank you!
