I am a born again christian who believes in tithing and doing this has broadened my thinking about money and it has open a capacity in me to be able to recieve more from the Lord. It is true that he will open up windows and ppour out a blessing and I think the blessing is not in money alone but in the way you think. He gives you the ability to make money instead of spending it. Instead of buying things he gives you the ability to make them and sell them to people.

Just a bit on the heavy side these comments I made on tithe money and thirty pieces of silver. I was reading Hebews on the priesthood of Christ. The writer said that Jesus was a priest after the order of Melchisedek. It also said that as a priest he had something to offer. Does anyone want to venture a guess what it was that Jesus offered? Well, never mind then, we should give him ten percent to offer to the Father just in case his offering wasn't enough. How long does blood last anyway. Maybe God forgot and needs to see some cash to really appreciate something of value.

Tithe money equaling thirty pieces of silver, posh!! hum bug!!

Sorry, I think you are confused. It is not relevant what Duet. and Zechariah
said. Acting from a place of contraction and scarcity is not conducive
for manifesting fulfillment. To help dispel the myth of scarcity in my
life, I plan to tithe myself and give to the causes I support.

Tithe money represents thirty pieces of silver. Read these two verses together. Deut. 14:25 and Zechariah 11:12. The first says to exchange the (holy) tithe for money. The second says, 'They weighed for my salary, thirty pieces of silver.' I have spent the last twelve years searching the scriptures for confirmation that this is so. If you would like, I could give you more reasons to believe that this is God's hidden thought. It is in the pattern of Judas's betrayal at the last supper that the fall of the stars from heaven takes place as recorded in the book of Revelation. The collecting of tithes is the rebellion.
